As the largest sales division of the 25 year old PBTI group, Xinia benefits from the expertise of its founders in electrographic applications of particulate science. PBTI has successfully developed many print cartridge reconditioning processes including innovative sealing products, licensing its technology in Europe, in the USA, in Japan and in India.
As a supplier to global OEM companies, PBTI developed a strong technical infrastructure and has maintained its tradition of innovation. Recent developments will result in further patent applications for its new colour cartridge programme.
The Xinia brand is increasing in popularity in the UK with many of Britain’s major companies and government departments - as well as prestigious colleges of education, benefiting from the cost saving advantages of Xinia replacement cartridges. One major national newspaper uses Xinia colour cartridges for its press proofing.
For the end user, Xinia usually represents significant cost downs when compared with OEM cartridges. The considerable R and D investment means products are available to satisfy the most discerning user. For the trade buyer, Xinia simply means repeat business and fewer customer complaints. Xinia Quality, Product Support and customer service are confidence-building pluses.
For the environment, Xinia cartridges are an alternative to endless destruction of earth-resources. Each year Xinia products put 200,000 kilos of plastics and metals back into use, saving them from land-fill. Due to the low energy requirement of our reconditioning process, the savings are much greater even than companies melting down and recycling the materials.
Think earth resources – think Xinia! So, in summary, what is the Xinia deal?
If you are an end user, the ease of switching to Xinia is a plus. All our products work in conjunction with OEM consumables so you can use a Xinia cyan cartridge with OEM Yellow, Magenta and Black in any brand of printer we offer products for.
Will you notice any difference in print quality using Xinia? For the average end-user you are likely to see no difference. If you are clever with a microscope, you may detect slight differences in surface rheology but it may be more to your liking than the OEM!
The proof of satisfaction is in the growing number of satisfied users and distributors choosing our products time after time.

The Xinia sales division of PBT International Ltd was formed in the year 2000 and has become the most successful sales arm of the company. Quality, leading-edge technology and solid customer service have been hallmarks of the PBTI group since it was founded in 1984. The Xinia sales and marketing teams have built upon that tradition.
Principals of the company have been leading innovators in particulate toner research and development and have applied their in-depth knowledge of toners to develop specialist toner cartridges for OEMs as well as for Xinia customers.
Innovative technology resulted in the first cartridge adhesive/gasket seals for remanufactured cartridges in the late 1980s and seals were sold globally, in addition to licensing some aspects of the technology, as long ago as 1990.
PBTI technology has been licensed in Japan and India as well as in the UK.
With OEM customers requiring the highest build quality PBTI has had an enviable reputation for quality and for its international logistics skills, shipping products to the Far East, Africa, South America and of course Continental Europe, since start-up.
With an experienced Research and Development laboratory team, PBTI is able to provide Xinia customers with the products, the technical support and the training needed to be successful.Xinia likes to be considered as a partner – not just a premier supplier.
Technology
Every producer claims to have “good technology”, but many companies reconditioning cartridges rely on component suppliers to provide the technical solutions.
Xinia parent company PBTI has its own development laboratory equipped with a huge range of test printers, particle size analysis machine, torque measurement devices, seal-pull tester, vibration equipment (for testing the effects of sea shipment)and colour analyser.
R & D on innovative techniques is also carried out off-site and has resulted in patent applications for new production technology currently in use at PBTI.The strong in-house technical resource has the added benefit of providing Xinia customers across the globe with support data on all products supplied, providing an important “Confidence Factor”. Never has this been more important than in colour products. Understanding printer calibration protocols and colour balance of toners is vitally important. Selective image development can cause colour distortions and the effect of poorly matched tribo-electric properties of some toning systems can result in printer dusting and poor image density. PBTI works closely with its toner supplier partners as they develop the most up-to-date formulations.
PBTI expertise in this area also means our toners are purchased mainly from OEM suppliers with a reputation for quality and consistency. This may mean some Xinia products are not the cheapest on the market but they are always excellent value-for-money, offering no compromises where high technical standards are essential for quality printing.
You can trust Xinia technology to deliver!
